Accuracy matters

Corrections Policy

Solar incentives, tariffs, product specifications and policy rules change. We want readers and source owners to have a clear way to flag errors.

Report a correction

Email contact@homesolaratlas.com and include the affected page URL, the specific value or statement, why it appears incorrect and the best primary source available.

How we review reports

We compare the report with the source currently cited on the page and, where necessary, with a more authoritative or newer primary source. We distinguish between a factual error, a source that has changed since publication and a reasonable methodological assumption that may simply produce a different estimate.

Material corrections

When a factual error could materially change a homeowner decision, we aim to update the affected page promptly. Review dates, source references or explanatory text may also be updated so the reason for the change is clear.

News updates

Fast-moving policy stories may develop after publication. A later development is not automatically an error in the original report. We may update the article, add a later briefing or revise the homeowner-impact section when the new information changes the practical conclusion.

Calculator issues

If a calculator produces an unexpected result, include the relevant non-sensitive inputs and ZIP code so we can reproduce the issue. Do not send account credentials, utility login information or unnecessary personal data.
